The Rt. Rev. Jeremiah Williamson was ordained and consecrated as the 10th bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany on Feb. 24, 2024 at the Cathedral of All Saints in Albany, New York. Williamson previously served as rector of Grace and Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and was elected bishop in September 2023. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Drew Theological School and a diploma in Anglican Studies from the General Theological Seminary in New York City. He was ordained a priest in 2009. He and his wife, Jennifer, a United Methodist pastor, have two sons, Oscar and Isaiah. In remarks delivered after the election, Williamson thanked the convention “for trusting me to be your shepherd” and said he was a “man consumed by hope,” including hope for the future “that I know in my bones God is writing for us.”

Sarah Baker (Senior Warden) attended Trinity Church in Hartford, Connecticut and Danville Kentucky before landing at Trinity Church in Potsdam in 2002. She has been on the Vestry here and was previously a Warden from 2018-2021. When not at Trinity or working at one of the local schools, Sarah travels with her husband or mother, gardens, hikes in the High Peaks and sits on her couch, knitting and watching Nordic police dramas.

Bart Oegema joined the Vestry as Warden in May 2025. He relocated to the North Country in 2018.

Brian Carl (Treasurer) grew up in Potsdam, attended colleges in Ohio, Tennessee, and North Carolina, provided environmental consulting services in Washington state, and searched for oil and gas in Texas, Brunei Darussalam, China, and the Netherlands. He and his wife Karen raised two children along the way. He left the corporate world in 2016 and returned to Potsdam to reconnect with family and friends and enjoy a slower pace of life. In the North Country, he’s taught students at  Norwood-Norfolk high school, SUNY Potsdam, and most recently St Lawrence University. Find Brian singing off-key in choir and writing grants to support sandstone restoration.

Rebecca Muir MacKellar has been the Director of Music at Trinity since September of 1988. She grew up in Moorestown, NJ, and is a 1981 graduate of the Ithaca College School of Music. She was married to the late large-animal veterinarian Ian MacKellar for nearly 45 years and has two sons and one grandson. In her free time, she quilts.

 Deborah Lewis (Parish Secretary) is a former English professor and graphic artist. She is originally from the North Country and after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, she relocated here in 2007 with her husband and their dogs.

Deborah Chase-Lauther (Pledge Secretary) hails from Montreal and currently makes her home in Madrid, along with her husband Roland, who serves as a Trinity acolyte. With them are three cats, one of which is also Canadian. 

Todd Travis (Archives Manager) grew up in Potsdam, served 4 years in the US Air Force in Maine and returned to Potsdam with his wife, Christine, to raise their two daughters. He has worked in Sponsored Research at Clarkson for over 35 years and hopes that they will let him retire sometime soon. He continues in the family tradition as Archives Manager that his mother, Betsy, started many years ago.
